The ADHD life

Trying to tell a story and getting a point across within a story is very difficult for someone with ADHD. We have a tendency to ramble on without ever getting to the point or at least we take a couple dozen extra, unnecessary words in order to do it – if we actually do it. Sometimes there is a simple answer, no complication at all, but we ponder and ponder from dusk till dawn on how to say it. I am no exception. I was very fortunate to write my book from great inner and outer inspiration and obligation and some of that came at a very high price, maybe too high a price. That’s an even longer story and if you have read my book, understood the meaning and purpose it has, then you know what that price was and it takes its toll. Those of us with ADHD tend to lose a lot first before we ever taste winning and yeah, we are supposed to appreciate the win that much more when it comes, but does it ever really come? It does, it really does. However, winning isn’t everything and what exactly is a win anyway?

We achieve things as we grow, we reach milestones and when we reach those points we look back and sometimes we smile, sometimes we cry and sometimes we do both. Was it worth it? Maybe that is the most important question… it has to be… doesn’t it?

Don’t ever give up on your dreams. It is irrelevant if anyone else understands what your dreams are as long as you do. If you’re fortunate others will take notice and help you along, lift you up and give you a chance. Just remember though, as you travel your travels, lift others up and help them along a little too – then when you least expect it… when the student is ready, the master will appear…

Now, where was I? Smile, be nice, never give up – never let negativity overtake your inner beliefs, stay strong, rise up and do what’s right – whatever that right might be for you. Just remember, good is good and bad is bad and no matter what anyone tells you that simple truth never changes… be good and if you feel like being bad, do some good anyway… The crowd goes wild and you rise up and take a bow, the win is yours, – and you know what? It has always been yours… took a while though, didn’t it!?

It’s not really a riddle… but life sure can seem like one… happy travels.

Here’s my most recent video – a compilation of sorts from other videos in which I might have talked a bit much to get my point across:
