May Michael Jackson Rest in a Better Place

There are few times in life when an event has such an impact that one never forgets where they were when it happened. The first space shuttle disaster, Challenger, the death of Princess Diana and 9/11 are events I will never ever forget exactly where I was at the moment I heard about them.

Sadly, now Michael Jackson’s sudden untimely death is added to that tragic list. Both of my sisters sent me text messages that he had died, that’s how I found out. My sisters know that I was a huge fan of Michael’s back in the 80’s ! My younger sister, Marline, and I saw him in concert! The BAD concert – it was awesome, beyond expectations.

Michael’s last 2 decades have been confusing, problematic and sometimes odd. Nobody could understand him and accusations didn’t stop. It didn’t seem like the bad news about him would ever stop and the wait for another ‘Thriller’ album went on forever and now, we know, it will never come – somehow I think we already knew that, in our hearts.

Regardless of Michael’s personal life, his music and dance will live on forever, on the radio, on TV, with cover artists etc., and, mostly in our memories!

The moment I will remember, above and beyond the news of his death, is when he jumped on stage to start the 1992 Dangerous tour concert; I was only about 50 feet away from the stage! He jumped up from underneath the stage platform, amidst golden fireworks and landed as solid as a rock. He just stood there for about 5 minutes without even seeming to breathe! At first we all cheered and then after a few moments, without any movement from Michael, we all grew silent and waited in awe, the crowd no longer seemed to be breathing either, as we waited for…

Michael Jackson – May you Rest in Peace, in a better place.

Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me and the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for
You and for me.

Heal The World by Michael Jackson

It was a very sad day. Such shocking news -my daughter and I were actually watching a retrospective of the 80′s when a message flashed across the bottom of the screen -making it more unbelievable. Thanks for the nice piece and sharing your memories.

Aw that was such a sweet dedication to Michael Jackson – Now I grew up in the 80′s I was born in 1981 , but @ a very young age I quickly got to know who Michael Jackson was , now I was a major big fan but as a kid I did like to watch him on Tv dancing , I thaught his outfits were incredible along with all his neat dance moves , I use to like to try to imitate some of his dance moves such as his famious moon walk – how ever as I grew up , I began to see a wonderful artest, dancer , creator and designer but @ the same time I began to see a man who was incredibly lonely , it became very odvious to me that Michael Jackson had alot of inner childhood issues that he had never deal with , I think that’s why he reached out to so many childran , in a way it was his way of using his struggles his had gone through as kid , in a better way – even tho some times the world did not understand that way . Michael Jackson was essentually like the Michel Jorden of music . He was the best there was , and I do think that there will be any one as good as Michael Jackson – how ever Michale Jackson has paved the path for so many of our ariest today like Christ Brown , Jay Z , Ludachis , Ryhanna , Desiny’s Child , the list could go on & on . Michael Jackson taught all of us that it is ok to be obbsessed with your craft , he taught us all that it’s ok to be obbsess with your passion in life and to never give up , no matter what people are saying about you .

This might be alittle late but I just had to read something that makes me have alittle hope and hapiness that hes in a better place…
I am going to be hinest with you. I used to hate him, really hate him. My parents never raised me into hus music, they hated him too, but then I liked a few songs and I started liking him, alot actually. And now, it wasnt because he had died for me to really notice him but the song say say say, so now, I feel I would give up my life for this man, he wasa one of a kind and if that ever came to that point, i would defintely do that, he means that much to me. I finally realized he was so much more than a normal human being, he was a superior Angel. A magnificent bigger than life peterpan, a prince of peace, a Lord of Music, his title today is too underrated… I find myself getting up in the morning and feeling like Im missing something, I felt like I am empty because Michael has left us. But truely, he is right here. He is a guardian angel, he is watching over all of us, with Liz Taylor, and Princess Diana… He knows we love him and would sacrfice our lives for him, but I still feel like we need to give back. We really need to spread his innocence. Its a shame people wont leave him alone.

But its like we need him, but heaven needed him more.

Everyone, Chinese people are turning into Christians just to see him in the promise land…
God told us to spread the Gospel and Michael did it and hes not even alive!
Thats how great he is, amazing.

I cannot wait, to sing in the Heavenly choir with my beloved friend Michael Jackson, i am not afraid of death anymore because of him, if someone kills me tomarrow, then let them kill me if I fail to survive.

Just to talkto him and be a friend and just let him know that I am really, really, really there for him, would mean the world to me.

God Bless your Heavenly Angelic, most beauiful soul.
    See you there our Angel…
