I am intrigued by your ideas about emotional learning and operating from an emotional level, how we often internalize the most painful events b/c they are very stimulating, and suggestions for countering isolation and more successfully interacting with others. Thanks for sharing this great interview!

I found this very interesting especially since even though I am another person with very clear symptoms of ADD socially I am almost the complete opposite. Amazing that even though 2 people are very clearly ADD they can have such different manifestations. I am hyper aware of social cues. It is not something I think about, I just often sense how another person is feeling.
Although I think generally this is a strength of mine it is not always so. (thank God I have a few strengths since so many aspects of my life are complete disasters!) This also does not mean my relationships - especially with family don't suffer because of ADD. I do space out, I do interrupt when they talk, I have a hard time listening and on and on and on. (not to mention the trail of chaos that follows me around the house wherever I go!)
