I have to admit I was slightly hesitant to write about this challenge from my own experience, for fear of offending those who seem to identify so closely with the condition. However, another parent recently asked for opinions on a new diagnosis of ADHD for their young son, and I felt glad to be able to offer a “Secret” perspective usually reserved for like-minded friends. Afterwards, I felt courageous enough to post the response to my blogs at PI and elsewhere (see link above.)

A little background: I grew up in our family pharmacy, and “happened” upon Christian Science while investigating the vaccination issue years after our own son had overcome the AD(H)D label through alternative means. At that time, the power of Universal Principles (Law of Attraction, et al.) was demonstrated through an unexpected, profound healing of my own and thus, reinforced my understanding of fear-induced dis-ease.

This is not to say that the symptoms are not real to the individual or something to be ignored rather than treated, but that ADHD is no more “incurable” than any other condition (including the debilitating one I faced for over a decade before learning the healing Truth.) I hope and pray that my words will be of comfort to you and others here.
