Thanks for this post. Robin Williams has been a hero of mine for some time–for his vision, relationship struggles and his tenacity & energy.

Today, I needed to be exposed to the fact that we are different (i.e. the ‘red shoes’ post) with value and that our uniqueness makes us often feel rejected by events, systems, etc. Right or wrong it happens–we’re left wondering what level of sensitivity to others is right while we balance the need to hyperfocus to stay engaged.

And it is our choice how to feel about these character traits that we can’t outgrow, mature or fix.
