Hello;
Great article I found it very insightful.
  Kristy, you mentioned a cycle of negative thinking; I for my most of my life also engaged in negative thinking; constant ruminating and always seemed to be trapped in those cycles despite what I tried; meditation, behavioral therapy, being "positive; you name it.
   THEN I realized I had adhd and learned that it's called "circular thinking". Once I started taking medication and thinking about things different I have managed to stop it from happening.
    Now I just let the thoughts run through my mind without detaching myself to them, also I learned to be aware that those thoughts are actually emotion and unless I let myself feel them instead of rationalize the pattern won't end.
   I also have a tendency to criticize myself for every mistake and negative quality. But whenever I start to I remind myself that everyone makes mistakes every single day and that I will too for the rest of my life. lol
  I hope this helps!

Bryan- This article has been a huge help for me and describes exactly the way I've felt inside lately. This past year I've found myself stuck with ongoing negative thoughts that I soemtimes feel I have no control over. I have A.D.D. and take medication for it, which has helped improved things soo much and really shown me what I am capable of doing. :) However, I didn't think the ongoing cycle of negative thoughts to bring myself down had anything to do with A.D.D, which is why this article caught me by surprise. After reading it, I've realized that I'm not alone in feeling this way. I need to stop obsessing over my negative qualities and mistakes I've made and concentrate on positive thoughts and the great qualities I have and those that come along with having A.D.D.

Keep up the great work with this site, I will be visiting agian soon.

Bryan-

I really enjoyed this article- As an ADDer I am taking action in pursuing a better work life. Until recently, I felt trapped a vicious cycle of negative thinking; particular with my work life. I finally decided to stop complaining about it and to do something about it. The first thing I had to do was uncover my true talents and once i did that, things started to come together. I am currently trying to start my own business as a life coach for ADDers and young adults feeling lost. I am working on creating a blog.

I was just about to sit down and start a new article on "ADDer's and their talents". I stumbled upon this site and wow...what a great resource.

Great site; I will be visiting often.
