Wonderful post. Its ramifications are quite big, too, especially if all the psychological implications are considered. Always pleasing people and trying to be nice to everyone has left some scars, though. Which made me more wary of people. It isn't easy to fight the urge to help people, be nice to them, communicate directly and openly. It is such an impulse that sometimes it just drives me crazy. Wondeful blog on a life affected with ADD. I'll subscribe that's sure! Keep it up!

Egomaniac with a inferiority complex is a saying this reminds me of. I can relate to this quite well. I agree, self-love is so important yet can be so difficult. Sometimes it may appear we love ourselves too much, but I think that is just a illusion.
I have this problem of thinking people are thinking certain thoughts about me and I think sometimes they can see my weaknesses clear as day. The truth is what if they can? Not much I can do about other peoples thoughts. The part I try to remember is that although they may see my faults, most people are focused on their own lives first and could care less about my shortcomings. Unless it affects them directly and those aren't the people I'm talking about. I mean the people who thoughts of me I really don't need to give the time of day...yet, I do sometimes.
