Permission to Proceed by David Giwerc an ADHD book Review

Permission to Proceed by David Giwerc an ADHD book Review

Change isn’t easy, not really, not for anyone, but especially not for people with ADHD. In David Giwerc’s new book Permission to Proceed David shows how change by cultivating healthy habits is possible, even for those of us with ADHD. David Giwerc is a master certified coach, president and founder of the ADD coach academy. He knows a thing or two about helping people with ADHD become better equipped to manage the daily life of living in a non-ADHD world. I highly enjoyed reading Permission to Proceed from start to finish and what I liked most about it was how David shares with us his personal stories along the way. You’ll want to read this book to get a better understanding of how someone like David, with ADHD, becomes not only a master coach, but also a leader and a person deserving of respect and admiration, which are not things […]

ADHD – the STRENGTH Based Approach – TRY it

ADHD – the STRENGTH Based Approach – TRY it

Lately I have been reading a lot about the strength based approach to managing, coping and, more importantly, striving and thriving with ADHD! It’s a contagious, positive and wonderful new movement and I like to think I have been a small part of helping push this movement into the forefront by writing my blog, my books and eBooks. David A Crenshaw recently wrote on facebook: A—adventurous D—determined H—hardy D—dynamic ©David A. Crenshaw, 2011, all rights reserved. I really like his use of ADHD! It’s a new way of looking at ADHD. We can talk about the difficulties, the challenges and the disadvantages of ADHD all day long. We can read about and study what the science tells us and what the statistics show us, but there’s one thing I have noticed, and that is that those who believe in and live by their strengths, whereby one uses what they can […]

Prayer and ADHD

Prayer and ADHD

For me one of the best ways to control my impulses, or to find answers, is to believe in, and talk to God, the Universe or something higher using prayer. If I want to do something, but I don’t think I can: I Pray about it. If I want to control myself, but feel out of control: I Pray about it. If I want to slow down, but feel myself running when I should be walking: I Pray about it. If I want “fill in the blank”: I Pray about it. The key isn’t to know the answers or to even receive a divine answer, or providential influence: it is the process of slowing down and talking ‘it’ out with one’s self and the Universe, God or the entity that you choose. We don’t always need another ‘opinion’ to help us, but since ADHD is an ‘impulse control’ issue it’s […]

About finding True Love in today’s times. So many people are looking for it, but can’t find it. This eBook answers the question of why true love is so hard to find today and how to find it. A few weeks ago when I was deciding which eBook I would have redesigned first, I decided to sort through all of the emails that I have received for my eBooks. Previously my categorizing was simply all eBook emails went into one folder. It took a couple days, but I eventually sorted each email into a folder for each eBook. At first I wondered if I would get it done, but I did! Then it was easy […]

The Funniest most Wonderful BESTest Video EVER!

Below is a video which sends a wonderful message about positive affirmations. She’s a little girl with a bright future, and she’s making sure of it! It’s already been viewed millions of times, so maybe you’ve already seen it. First: thank you to everyone passing on my new eBook. I have done the right thing by using the honor system of asking you to share it if you download it. And they say people don’t do that anymore? Really? Wrong! So, thank you very much. I believe in the cause of helping others by sharing free material, and together we can do it, if we want to! Right? Right! Share it far and wide! Here’s the link to the eBook once again. This last week I have received several inquiries from various professionals about printing my new eBook and offering it as a hand out. The answer to that question […]

Put a Stop to the Blame Game

Put a Stop to the Blame Game

Stop the blaming! As humans we like to blame things, it’s natural and normal. We like to put blame somewhere, anywhere, somehow, someway. We don’t always do it consciously or on purpose, we just do it. It’s not our fault, whatever that is which is making us use the blame game. Here’s some common blaming: It’s the system, its ADHD, it’s the people in the group over there and on and on… – Ultimately, everything is out of our personal control and it is not our fault! The thing about blaming, even if it is ‘justified’ is that it never ends and blamers never truly get better or improve. They don’t have to, they’ve got something or someone to blame. They don’t improve and you know it. It’s not their fault, after all. Okay, swallow hard. I am not saying anything is anyone’s fault, breathe. Now, explore for a moment […]
