Today!

There’s a feeling we all have, the feeling of something more, some kind of destiny. It’s not just fantasy, it’s not just imagination, it’s real and we can’t touch it. It’s off in the distance, just out of reach in front of our mind’s eye. We can’t clearly make out what it is, and yet, somehow, somehow we know what it is without any way of explaining it to anyone, much less ourselves. It’s there, we know it’s there… so far away.

Intuition, the tug forward, to keep going because somehow, someway we are going to reach that something… whatever kind of wonderful that something must be. Is it destiny? Is it love? It could be many things and with the only clarity we possess, it is our hopes, our dreams… it is more, something so much more!

Ever feel that? The wanting, the needing, the reaching… for it…

We all have it. For those of us who have ADHD, we sense things profoundly and yet have the greatest difficulty in touching them. We can reach out, we can long for and yet so far away in the distance. It’s the promise of tomorrow – always tomorrow.  The only true tomorrow is that we are standing in the tomorrow of yesterday and yesterday is what? Yesterday is gone, the past, forever gone with only the shadows of memories… memories of what? Something more…

Desire… hope… passion… imagination… fantasy…

There is great power in each of those things. Those things keep us going forward. They are the intangibles beyond the explainable. They are everything and yet, they are… something…

How to capture – how to finally see… how to open up and with the clarity of true vision, finally, at long last, to see…

How to end the suffering, the delusions, the agony, the pain… the longing… how?

Close your eyes and know one thing, today is the first day of the rest of your life. Today is the day which is bestowed upon us as a gift. Today is the truest gift, today is life. We will learn a great many things today, if we so choose to learn them, to look around ourselves in the here and now. To take notice, today, of the friends we share, the family we love and the things which fill us with joy right here, right now. Today.

Tomorrow will come, no need to wait for it, it will come on its own, no need to hurry it, time is already too short. Today is here right now. Start living your dreams today. Start writing today, start calling today, start that new book today, watch that show today – do something today, anything – and everyday do something which you want to do tomorrow… today. Tomorrow will come, it’s enough to know that, live in today.

The future develops from what we do… today.

This day is yours!

I know, it’s easier said than done… but once we start doing it… the future becomes ours!
