ADD ADHD affected my relationships and finding love Part 3

ADD ADHD affected my relationships and finding love Part 3

Good day everyone! I received a few emails from these last few articles concerning relationships and it was asked that I give more details and give clearer explanations of the ‘signs’ that I missed. I am going to try and do that a bit here in today’s post. But first let me explain a bit about what I am trying to do with my blog and writing about my life with Attention Deficit Disorder. It is my attempt to help others by writing openly about my experiences and allowing you to take from my writing what you will. I didn’t know it and I blew it. The worst part of this story, the devastating reality, will be the fact I was oblivious to the fondness this girl had for me. Thinking about it right now, I still feel like an imbecile. I know I shouldn’t, but no matter how much I learn about Attention Deficit Disorder I still feel like I should have recognized the signs. I mean really—it’s just so obvious looking back on those days. It’s no wonder that many people with ADD or ADHD complain of and seem to have post traumatic stress syndrome! We remember and rehash mistakes constantly—it’s painful, it hurts, it is absolutely agonizing, especially those memories which […]

Finding Love

Finding Love

Finding, Falling and Staying in love  Part 1 Finding Love Searching for love is exhilarating, fun and a reason to visit the bright lights of the city at night and mingle, but it can also be frightening when we feel we are constantly rejected and if and when much time passes with no success and an abundance of rejection, it can become a dreadful and disheartening struggle. Often we go out with a smile on our face and tell ourselves we are just going to have fun and it just doesn’t matter if we are not approached or if an offer for a drink or to dance is turned down. Right, we don’t care, we are just out having fun after all. Negative feedback is negative feedback and no matter how we prepare ourselves, the negativity of rejection is felt. Not only ‘skin deep’ and our emotions react. Continuously repeating […]
