Wow, what an overwhelming response from the new PDF I sent out yesterday! Thank you to all of you who responded with comments and suggestions!! Okay, I changed up the document because many of you had nearly the same suggestions. I included some of the more ‘controversial‘ articles and what seem the current favorites: Is it ADHD or bad luck & Is Sex important to someone with ADHD?. Those of you that wrote me mentioned these articles would make you more likely to share the file with others. I also included the quote that I have on my blog – it was interesting that several mentioned it; I didn’t realize it was so popular Here’s the updated file:
Not really. Physical sex that is, it is nearly irrelevant. You wouldn’t think so, because, well, we probably think of sex more than we think of anything else. However, we don’t think of physical sex that much, not in that way. Do you doubt me? Then read on.
Our inherent definition of sex is entirely different than what we think sex should be. I mean to say that what marketers, advertisers and movies, TV and magazines show us what sex should be, isn’t what we define sex to be. And you know what – sex in of itself is uninspiring for someone with ADHD, and yet, for someone who doesn’t have ADHD, I have heard tell that that having sex, physically and emotionally, with someone who has ADHD can be the best sexual experience they have ever had, the first few times, that is. Have you heard this too?
It has been my honor recently to do an interview with Dr. Lara Honos-Webb. If you are not familiar with Dr. Lara Honos-Webb yet, she is the author of several books including “The Gift of ADHD”. Recently, Lara started a new website www.addisagift.com and she asked me if I would be interested in doing an interview with her. I checked out the new website and discovered that she is offering a lot of valuable information to anyone interested in becoming a member. Now, Lara isn’t just anyone, she is considered to be one of the leading experts on ADHD and has treated families, groups, individuals and couples with concern to ADHD and Depression etc… Not to mention the helpful, easy to understand books she has written for the ADHD community. I tell you this because Lara has taken the time to interview several experts with regard to ADHD and Depression – the interviews are indispensible to anyone concerned about ADHD. The interview she did with me is freely located at the top of this post, simply click on it to listen to it. The interview will also be available on Lara’s new website and is available on the ADDer World interactive website.
Finally, after so much, the manifestation of my life’s story is here, it is in print, it is published and I hope and believe what I have written will help people across the world in a new enlightening way. This is my story, my memories, the good, the bad, the ugly and the wonderful, the successes and the reality that there is more and we can all find it within each of us. This is the story of what I went through and the people around me were subjected to and reacted to. This is the story of a boy who was lost, all over the place, struggled with school, with friends and just about everything, but with all the struggles, there was always something special within and for many reasons I found that something special and believe with all of my heart and my soul, you will find your something special within you too!
Some call it minimal brain dysfunction, it’s a disorder, it’s a mental illness, it is all of the above and it is more than that and maybe, just maybe those are the wrong terms. ADD and ADHD are misunderstood with so many misconceptions out there and those that suffer from it are sometimes considered to be living a life of excuses and treated negatively when letting others know of their diagnosis. Additionally, the symptoms of ADD and ADHD, each by themselves, are very common issues that just about everyone has to some degree or another which leads to the misconceptions and denials of what ADD and ADHD is.
The reason I created Adder World was and is to help spread understanding and awareness of ADD ADHD. I speak from experiences I have had, what I have researched and the experiences others have shared with me. I do not claim to be a doctor or any other type of medical professional. If my experiences and what I have observed and therefore write about help bring awareness and inquiry to others, then I am achieving my said goal and hopefully more.
There are not many sites available specifically for Men concerning ADD ADHD. The about.com websites has some references. If you know of a good website that is specific to Men, please, leave a comment with the link and I will check it out.

It is an honor to have written a book that is meaning so much and benefiting so many. It is my hope that one day ‘One Boy’s Struggle: A Memoir’ will be read by every teacher and parent, as well as read by every adult with ADHD.
