Remember the wonderful, helpful and sensitive video by a young lady talking about ADHD? Yes, that one! It captured our attention and exemplified for many of us, how we feel. The video is posted above, if you missed it. And if you enjoy the video, she’s joined us on our ADDer World ADHD Social Network, perhaps you would like to welcome her and/or comment on her video.
Okay, I think I am done tinkering with the logo and site colors for a while on our ADHD Social Network. I say that, but you know I have ADD, so don’t count on it. However, I do feel I have finally aced the logo. Again, remember, I have ADD. You can tell me what you think here.
New member, Jason, shares with us his very personal and revealing story. It’s touching and important, which is a good addition to uncovering ADD: Hi there! I’m Not An Alcoholic
My book The Brilliant Reality of ADHD was recently featured in ADDitude Magazine and I have received an incredible number of emails asking me for more information and many, many questions about my life. My life story is told in my first book One Boy’s Struggle: A Memoir. I am now considering writing about PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) specifically, which I think is rather all too common in the lives of people with ADHD, especially those undiagnosed for too long.
However, PTSD, for me, is quite difficult to write about and will take some time. I was already extremely revealing in One Boy’s Struggle, but I was also weary of going certain places. I also worry about touching other people’s triggers with my own. I will start soon and let you know how it progresses, if it progresses. My goal is to start by talking about the most difficult aspects of PTSD for me: Guilt and Loyalty.
Due to the interest in The Brilliant Reality of ADHD, my second book, I will soon start the next contest by giving away 2 signed copies, so stayed tuned. The referal contest for my new book Adult ADHD can be Sexy will officially end July 1st!!!Don’t miss out on it.
Look forward to ‘seeing’ you on our ADDer World Social Network! If you haven’t joined yet… well, what are you wating for???
Bryan

I think writing about PTSD would be fantastic as there is little out there regarding the dual diagnosis and it does seem to be a good deal of the two co- occuring. There was a study done that stated ADHD and PTSD are possibly the underlying reason for burn out…..I thoroughly agree!!
Maybe you could begin a forum/group for starters?
I see triggers as a point to learn and grow….at least for me. They usually are mirroring something in my current life that needs ATTENTION! Thank you for your inspiration, Bryan!

Thanks Christine! At the moment I am learning as much as I can about PTSD and to be honest a see A LOT of parallels between it and ADD and ADHD, at least for me. I am starting to think that one can help manifest the other, especially at younger ages. If anyone knows of such a study, please let me know about it.
"One Boy’s Struggle is a real eye-opener. It should be read by all parents struggling to understand how best to support their ADHD children. Adults with ADHD will likely find validation and new hope from reading Bryan’s story.” ~Dr. Edward Hallowell
CHADD Educator of the Year for 2010, Dr. Katherine Nell Mcneil, "Highly recommends" One Boy’s Struggle
“A very brave and moving memoir.” Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, Katherine Ellison, author of 'Buzz'.
"Gripping account of both the struggles and positive polarities of ADD written beautifully in a honest, open and courageous manner." David A. Crenshaw, Ph.D.
"Anyone with ADD or with friends, loved ones or colleagues with ADD will be informed and touched by Bryan’s book." Bryan Robinson Ph.D. author of 'The Art of Confident Living'
Thank you!
I just want to add a special thank you to all those who have read ‘One Boy’s Struggle: A Memoir’. Thanks to you it has become one of the top selling books for my publisher, this means that it is reaching people all over the world.
It is an honor to have written a book that is meaning so much and benefiting so many. It is my hope that one day ‘One Boy’s Struggle: A Memoir’ will be read by every teacher and parent, as well as read by every adult with ADHD. If you own a copy and have read it, please consider passing it on, loan it out to friends, a support group or donating it to your local library.
